SILICON VALLEY OWNS THE PC MARKET say 9 companies out of the 1,500 included in the analysis. Verify the data and read company yearly reports and silicon valley jumps out at you. I need to add a few more computer companies to make a compelling case. Yet it’s obvious.

Total market $75 billion and 1,500 companies

 - – 9 are particularly interesting

- – “The numbers – - silicon valley owns the pc market

For those interested in silicon valley here’s something. Now it’s Oracle to sell computer hardware for first time . Those interested in the history of computers and the internet in silicon valley should read up on SUN micro - – it’s the history of sun micro computers and it starts with the first tcp/ip equipped workstations. Interested in who launched the pc revolution read up at The Apple Museum  .

Not just computer companies. Silicon valley claims world domination in the silicon wafer business.

Intel - – $40 billion – - santa clara ca

Advanced Micro Devices - – $6 billion – - santa clara ca

The numbers suggest:

- – have acer relocate their headquarters from Tokyo to the North American office in san jose

- – apple needs to get bigger

- – silicon valley computer companies who want to emulate hp need to try acquistions on the scale of compaq

- – low cost computers and mass marketing computers on the scale of sony is a pop culture phenomenon

- – Sony and apple have led the way to the consumer market

- – intel recently got bigger and bought their way into the solar power business

- – everybody is still trying to find that $150 laptop computer a great value at a low price

VALLEYLIST LATEST NEWS

Planned versions of “valleylist” have evolved with the thought that news needs to be new.

 - – octoberfest

“valleylist” has left it’s initial objective of 12,000  weekly emails behind. I’ve already attained 95,000 emails to subscribers and newsgroup members each and every week.

The new objective is 1 million a week.

It’s every monday for at least 46 weeks a year and most likely 50 weeks a year.

“No meeting no nookie” says Hitachi who should be have already spent the $165,000 for an entire year of “valleylist” sponsorship. Weekly sponsors get a break at $4,600 for a week. The entire year is still a great deal at $165,000.

Now where’s the meeting with Hitachi .

MAYOR OF THE WEEK Somebody tell Chuck Reed that they turned it down. It’s back to the project people.

This week it’s a three way tie with santa clara’s Patricia Mahan bringing in HP Intel and Advanced Micro Devices then cupertino’s Dolly Sandoval bringing in Apple and san jose’s Chuck Reed with a sales call on Acer to have them bring in the world wide headquarters to san jose.

George Bush told everybody to fight the recent economic hit engineered by the investment gang by turning in even bigger numbers than before.

That’s what got Bush elected. The san jose push is to continue to ruin everything for no reason. The flight to Dolly Sandoval’s refuge for the high tech ambitious lately is the tiny town of Cupertino.
