OCTOBERFEST lasts all year for those of us lucky enough to have had a few too many beers in Munich (Munchen) Germany. Berlin is not really where beer is drunk according to most germans who still live in the mosefficientnt and most industrialized nation in the world after Japan Stuttgartdt where Jeffrey Dahmer spent a 4 year stint in military service is not the capital actually it’s unofficially Munich where laggards have more fun.
How it all got that way is the subject of endless wars most notably world war I and world war II. However the “valleylist” point of view is take in a good movie on the german phenomenon and then try a few beers at a silicon valley beer joint and that’ll be plenty. My favorite 15 movies on the subject of Octoberfest are included here yet the list of silicon valley area brew pubs is even more important and a little scarier.

If it’s the ongoing war about who’s on top of the green project then please contact Oakland Mayor Ron Dellums who took the green story to the Silicon Valley Leadership Group to push for local laws that would reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Dellums is also among the few mayors who really stepped to managing the problems that politicians encounter in a big city like Oakland. The point is behind schedule is not really an option and most of all it remains a vitally important agenda. Silicon valley is very involved according to the latest Metro – - The Green Gold Rush - - which features Al Gore on the cover. Even though Oakland like San Francisco declined to be part of silicon valley there’s a lot to be said for people stepping to making sure green people keep to the timeline. ABAG – - Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) - - is also a great source of information on what bay area cities are up to and how to get them to spend their money in silicon valley.
CONCLUSION The san jose summer closed with The English Beat serenading the top hit “I Confess” at the top of their lungs at Music in the Park at cesear chavez park. I didn’t make it to san francisco to enjoy one of my favorite performers and entertainers in a top hat Dr. John and the new 911 [used to be Dr. John and the Medicine Show] who I saw sing many years ago with Leon Redbone. Dr. John – Right Place Wrong Time “I was in the right place at the wrong time and it was a bad place but it must have been the wrong song” could be the anthem for the 21st century’s decline into absolute idiocy. The fall season begins with tickets now available to Steve Silver’s Beach Blanket Babylon which will probably feature a lot of big fat octoberfest people as they usually do yodelling of course. If all else fails try Vin Diesel’s Babylon AD when it comes out on c.d.
Silicon valley PC Manufacturers own the PC market is up next week and a totally new version of what makes “valleylist” tick is included for those really behind the business these days. Really busy people have already started to move the food around for the holidays. The best food unfortunately is just north of silicon valley.
