the digital future arrived june 2009 when the federal communications commission activated digital broadcast and cable television. according to u.s.a. today digital radio is the next broadcast technology. music went digital with cds. film and television with dvds and digital television sets. print publications and newspapers as well as printed books are among the last to complete the digital transition. computers and the internet – - digital since their first silicon transaction was processed – - are responsible for the digital revolution.
the only thing the new apple ipad is missing is streaming live digital television. comming soon with the apple live wifi adapter.
what’s really missing is new interactive multi-media content specifically designed for digital media.
in the future all media will be digital and multi-media.

cultural imperialism and shameless self-promotion are the objectives. everybody needs to catch up with san francisco mayor gavin newsom the most socially active mayor in the country. larry ellison is even worse. the america’s cup winner and oracle founder and ceo ellison wants the world’s oldest sports trophy in san francisco. the cup will be kept at the golden gate yacht club. stewart brand clocks in on the changing the world list of achievers at the san francisco mechanics’ institute. the new book
whole earth discipline – - an ecopragmatist manifesto
is needed because global warming is out of control. bigger than the federal government or even the united nations it’s already taking a very high toll. important 21st century facts [brand knows his stuff].
- – world population to level off at 9 billion around mid-century
- – 50% lives in cities should be 80% by mid-century
- – 1 billion of world’s population live in abject poverty
- – “heroic dispair” characterizes ecopragmatism from problems too big for us
even my san francisco hair salon project turned up the heat with michael jackson vs. the beatles. by the way these artists set new records in both multi-media as well as record sales. conclusion says the recording industry association the the beatles are the top selling artists of all time.
new objective – - “valleylist” needs to be on all top 10 internet services so far it’s yahoo ning facebook and twitter. just added youtube and google. it’s the new videos that complement the mutli-media theme.
still it’s cultural imperialism. take a look at “valleylist” planned titles and sponsorship. name a weekly sponsorship number. weekly sponsorship of the newsletter and any or all of the “valleylist” services now open for business.
that’s 5 million readers a week and a lot of influence. and if that’s not enough “valleylist” is in touch with the dalai lama also on tour.
multi-media imperialism takes shape as spoken word readings.

the multi-media device that “valleylist” people are planning is easier to use than television. it’s a device that accomodates any digital media including video games music cell phone services music television cnn and cds. anything people can find on the internet or digital video. itunes and mp3 on the same player with the mtv video clip? it’s either internet wifi dvd hard drive or digital broadband driven. i’d like to record edit and play my new video on my new itablet-like multi-media device.
nope. stop at the recording device. then answer the cell phone. it looks like a multi-media reader. digital recording device sold separately.
anybody who’s been through the entire digital content multi-media publishing cycle knows there is a natural stopping point.
the new apple ipad needs to add more content-driven features and finally draw the line as it approaches trancendental entertainment.
