PRODUCTS are entirely digital. consumers confuse products with spending money. business people like myself publicize their products by reading “the reign of terror reading list” live. the magical mystery tour takes off in san francisco’s mission area. final conclusion “everybody hates their project”. new version of “valleylist” skips 5 and jumps right to v110 to avoid the wrong people.

a product is a “good, idea, method, information, object, service, etc., that is the end result of a process and serves as a need or want satisfier” says any standard dictionary. product management is the definitive marketing practice. it came from big companies like the phone company and consumer packaged goods. the golden boy from marketing reports to high level executives. product management controls the entire product through an interdisciplinary team of hundreds perhaps thousands of people. successful implementation remains elusive. end result is products that need lots of support. then came reengineering to further degrade the business environment. still stuck reengineering? so is everybody. is it interdisciplinary teams with a point person from the technology group? same problem.   the “valleylist” list of products is included in the planned new titles advertising and sponsorship. it’s a starting point for a comprehensive list of products. at first glimpse the products seems so old it’s unbelievable. fantasy would suggest an entirely new generation of high tech products. something bizarre. never seen before. take a pill and travel the solar system. that kind of thing. best buy and the other high tech megastores offer more of the same. a better cell phone. products are the “valleylist” focus for a few months. even after a research stop at bestbuy the products themselves appear all too ordinary.

enough self-focused obsessive styleless self examination. it’s what happens in the real world that’s interesting.

conclusion is product management is old. reengineering is worse. in fact reengineering is a strategic initiative with an implementation plan. people don’t spend every day reengineering. next thing up. fire dick cheney and stop george bush & company from trying to run government and industry from behind the scenes. i ducked the call to work on their food industry project and decided to stick entirely with publishing. i help with the diaspora as needed.

what’s up next is all products are entirely digital.

publicizing the product required reading “the reign of terror reading list” live. planned at brainwash. i ran into a phoney police incident. shots fired? hip hop scheduling problems. scheduled. waited. no reading. burned. reading implemented at modern times writing workshop sponsored by cuav [community united against violence]. my writing exercises  took me back east based on the instructor’s tip off “try working from a noise or smell or sound or taste that conjures up a special experience”. that week i returned to the mission a largely hispanic area for my favorite haunts like the community thrift store cuav the rainbow grocery and the neighborhood library. on the same street as modern times i discovered borderlands books and sfinsf. the week should have ended at a peace protest and rally at the san francisco federal building on golden gate. instead organic said it was time to leave town. laundromats in the mission are too run down. no choice?  it was do laundry at a nameless laundromat just up the street from the castro’s sit & spin. why leave town?

those who hung out discovered sf has adoped a “valleylist” point of view. it surfaced again at a new restaurant called circa meaning history reinitialised itself circa 1994 with the sfpd trying to rule the world. just like the song from tears for fears. more interesting was waiting around for a free ticket to johnny rotten lydon‘s new band public image limited live at the regency ball room. last time jonny rotten was in town rotten’s band the sex pistols broke up the morning after a great u.s.a. premier in san francisco. bizarre. great music and publicity on tour. i’m looking forward to massive attack at the warfield a few weeks away. next day it’s toast the 104th anniversay of the great san francisco eathquake and fire. first it’s the 104th wreath laying lotte’s fountain 5:11am. then it’s off to the mission area for the golden fire hydrant painting ceremony. that’s the hydrant that saved the neighborhood from total destruction by the fire.

howard stern vs. larry king. who’s the most syndicated talk show host? only the san francisco hair salons know for sure. my salon index says it’s way past the time to sue your hairdresser and file formal charges in state superior court. why are stern and king always suing? it’s usually salary and contract issues. who’s really ranked #1?

“valleylist” shameless self promotion that works. it’s ”the magical mystery tour“ or reading “the reign of terror reading list“ at night clubs and bookstores. it’s a new “valleylist” mini-site from google sites that reveals “valleylist” grew from cosmic protoplasm to solve pre-hellenic problems. it’s adsense advertising enabled syndicatied versions of “valleylist” feeds.  it’s “valleylist” top ranking on every top 10 internet service. it’s 5 million readers with the objective of millions of new readers and subscribers this year.

political problems [was supposed to be the federal food program]. even defense secretary robert gates  says commerce is the most effective way to solve political problems and expand influence. the “hate crime” people are vanishing from the real political scene finally. everybody just hates their project.   the solution is “let’s rock”.   oddly enough sfpd former chief heather fong and the phone company solemn promise or “hate crime” project is still following me around. “i won’t stop until i see him put a gun to his head at a bank and threaten to blow his own brains out”. this a direct quote from former chief fong. her problem.

born in shanghai.

fong’s interest – - like former chiefs lau sanders and word – - a stint as a business development product manager. total failure. product managers need to get it right. their product campaign was a program claiming “someday it’ll be legal to eliminate people for no reason”. other new product “i do what i feel like doing to people”. the fed gave them a year. 11 years later it’s still not legal. fong and the gang are still trying to eliminate people anyway. meanwhile the new sfpd chief gascon goes after sfpd ten most wanted. add pete ibarra joe johnson james davis and john mowen to that list as well. that’s the top 14 most wanted.   many years ago sfpd police officer tom hennesey [no relation to sheriff mike hennessey] promised to introduce me to san jose supervisor chuck reed. reed was later elected mayor then flubbed it. people get behind reed for the wrong reason. they claim they need a new “bad person” to lead the world to self aniliation. “bad people” need a charismatic leader for some reason. all these years later the reed people are still following me around. last i heard it’s the end of reed’s political career [too hooded up]. hopefully it’s the end of officer hennesey’s curse to put me into a new line of work with the wrong people and obviously dishonest and incompetent politicians.

problem is products wear out.
