videogame industry peaked years ago. instead it’s bigger than ever with projected $73 billion annual revenue says gamesutra. high end technology and impossible to believe graphics keep videogame customers coming back for more. “valleylist” got off the videogame bandwagon right after arcade games took in millions. donkey kong and sim city were hitting it big. the mayors conference says “not legal” for “the gang” and their “game”. instead talk to real technology entrepreneurs like electronic arts and do a real “sim city” on the streets of san francisco. that’s an immense improvement over the “scooter” statego game with improv thrown in just to confuse things.the “hood fantasy game” is illegal.top 10 videogame companies and their top selling video game products# company – - – - revenue games top 10 top 10 video game companies of all time listphobia top 10 video games – cnet.com mtv games blast – sony nintendo microsoft revenue the videogame industry looks bigger than the internet and smaller than the software industry. “valleylist” says around 31% of the world’s population has played videogames to some degree. videogame entertainment follows bbs [bulletin board systems] as an early form of computer entertainment. problem is the bulletin boards were intended to communicate and interact as opposed to entertain. role playing bbs encounters based on bizarre “handles” didn’t ever become popular. i met a few idiots [i.e. "sfcop"] who claimed “they won” therefore they get what they want. in the case of very peculiar bbs people there’s a tendency to simply declare “i’m the one”. everybody from mothers against drunk driving (madd) to the sfpd denounces this kind of behavior. yet a few of these experiences were enough to set the course of history and guide the internet to real time communication as opposed to role playing.in fact real world role playing games like dungeons and dragons and goth fantasy games are well known to be linked to criminal problems including homicide. videogames themselves have been universally denounced as leading to serious crimes. stalking. assault. extortion. bizarre hate crimes. nearly all the videogames on the top 10 list are conflict oriented and many of the most popular involve war or crime. to solve the problem the very successful entertainment software ratings board [esrb] voluntary rating system was developed. the esrb literally put a stop to violent crime impacts of videogames. instead a few favorite videogames like the last airbender and doom left the computer screen behind and became disney-style movie franchises worth additional billions. videogames are so huge a company like gamestop doing only online and retail sales ends up as big as nintendo. $10 billion in revenue. internet games are a big attraction starting with yahoo games and facebook games and continuing on to appear in every top 10 internet service in some form or other. the e3 expo brought the industry together briefly under the guidance of the entertainment software association to find new ways to entertain. the exhibitor list and the list of attendees is enough to tell everybody there’s a big future in the videogame business. the world is ready for 3-d virtual holographic videogames. instead the consumer is stuck with 3-d display screens not too different from jaws 3-d (1982). while in new york new jersey refugee nelson hess took me to a grand old theater. though he liked everything about jaws (1975) he could not possibly take an interest in videogames or interactive media. give nelson a good videocassette of a new movie or mtv. nelson’s idea of fun was making tapes of music videos from mtv – vjays. now-a-days he’s probably downloading music videos from mtv-online to the new wireless apple i-pod. for some reason videogames are not for everybody. videogames hit it big with or without the typical nelson consumer. specialized hardware products from videogame companies should not to be overlooked in importance. game hardware is yet another device for publishers planning to have a digital presence on all devices. the most popular videogame consoles are the sony playstation 2 the sony playstation 3 and the sony portable playstation [pps] the microsoft xbox the nintendo wii and nintendo dsi. sf hair salons turned down the law enforcement reengineering assignment. stylists just don’t want to handle “hood” business for law enforcement. they don’t need the extra few dollars that badly. fbi special agent mueller continues to believe that he needs a “gang” future and wants to play out his “scooter” hand until the last and final bill is paid. 11 years later mueller is unwilling to admit he’s been taken in by a con. tomtommorrow says the project seems destined to continue until the nano-bots invade the inner core of our galaxy and devour all human life. “valleylist” put everybody’s name on a list and requested the authorities take action to solve the “hate crime”. salon magazine suggested the hoax be exposed because a hoax is a hoax. why of course. final legal decision from the conference of mayors is that “the gang” project will never be legal. the objective of their “gang” number is to try to convince people to “give it up”. any reason really. decades of legal cases prove you can’t do it just by sending people or making people miss appointments or running out the clock. you cannot even do it by keeping people alone. legally speaking all it takes is a “y” or “n”. the mayor’s conference says “n”. this week it was the california puc setting regulatory limits. the final round went to oakland mayor ron dellums who spelled it out as well. you can count key strokes until the cows come home and never walk away with somebody else’s money. citizens need to able to go about their business without encountering senseless harassment and delays. organic insists on completing a lot of “valleylist” business every day. in the meantime law enforcement continues to want to involve me in a bizarre project. i decline law enforcement’s invitation to do hateful things to people for no reason. instead secretary of defense robert gates and a slew of federal agencies continue to champion the “valleylist” agenda to sell as much silicon valley and american high tech as possible world wide. it’s an entrepreneurial effort for entrepreneurs like nike. ”write the future” is one of many highly creative advertising and promotion projects based on the “valleylist” concept and content syndication project.”valleylist” planned new titles and sponsorship for computing 1. cellphones contact organic for a bigger videogame or even highly effective advertising. conclusion. hiding out in san francisco i had my backpack stolen. twice. “valleylist” finds the city parading from a big and scary sf gay pride weekend to a daunting july 4 weekend. should be lots of fun. time to find commonalities. instead it’s the daily law enforcement meltdown. the police are still trying to “work it out” with the criminal “gang” instead of putting a stop to their insane behavior. the federal government has requested the police “do the job”. just arrest those on the list who will not do something for the american public. they say they need to complete the process analysis. forget the process analysis. they say they need the life of a real human being to figure out how to reengineer society so that in the future it’ll be ok to be bad. forget the reengineering project. and forget doing yet another demo real. videogames may be the first real pop culture success from the world of computing. yet for some reason even sophisticated videogames are not really adequate. there’s a market for fun and interesting interactive games that go 3-d or even holographic. if it really works technically. otherwise it’s a fun fictional experience that requires a big suspension of disbelief. it needs to be rational or they are not going to do it. greg mckenna publisher valleylist all rights reserved |
