MUSIC is an integral part of human history. yet recorded music started withedison and ended according to some with the black eyed peas.
there’s a future in music. “valleylist” thinks it sounds like the foo fighters top selling single “rope“. others prefer lmfao‘s billboard #1 hit “party rock anthem”.
is music finally totally digital? has all the analogue been squeezed out? near perfect recordings are totally possible. consumers are eager.
everything except for the musical instruments and voice. in the beginning there’s a vibration of some kind. that’s where digital ran aground. digital instruments abound and define today’s popular music. all the rest remain analogue including the guitar piano bass and vocals.
top digital music sales according to encyclopedia experts go to flo rida featuringt-pain for “low” (2007-08) and the black eyed peas for “boom boom pow” (2009) or for ”i gotta feeling” (2009) says billboard hot digital songs. surprisedigital radio is here already with the i-sonic es2 and the hd-1 according to toptenreviews. for satellite radio the top 2 choices are tao electronics xm2go and the sirius st5 – tk1 xm radio receiver according to satellite radio top 10. endless choices of electronic and digital musical instruments narrow down to the top selling ion ied01 electronic drum kit yamaha ez-tp digital trumpet according to top 10 musical instruments. live music events are dominated by the top 2 top grossing live acts of all time the rolling stones and u2 according to new york times world almanac 2011. music for downloads top 2 services are itunes and napster according to toptenreviews. musicians should try the top digital recording studios in the world the olympic studios and the record plant according to the top 10 most famous recording studios in the world.
thomas alva edision inventor of recorded music is the “valleylist” avatar this week. edison himself was a wonderkind with inventions covering all of the post electricity society. also won wars in the marketplace to set the new technology standard. ultimately an inventor and a winner. headlines from the turn of the century should have announced “edison invents the light bulb” or “edison invents electric power” or perhaps even the motion picture camera. most importantly for many is the invention of recorded music.
all of the headlines and products mentioned are included in the “valleylist”playlist as are the favorite videos.
mark pauline [markp@srl.org] founder of srl survival research labs is also a big fan of edison and the bizarre idea of invention. why not invent an entirely new art form for example. that was a typical day’s new idea. pauline formed survival research labs and published a monthly magazine all about art and destruction. give the guy credit at least for coming up with artist-designed robots that mash and destroy each other in a big weekly demolition derby style event.
that’s somebody else’s way of celebrating invention.
those of us with a more traditional approach might enjoy printing out and highlighting important phrases from the duke university’s milestones in recorded music.
my unfortunate lot is this. i’m still waiting for the legal case. the scott king legal case that is. a former sf city hall employee slated for life in prison. the police said “why don’t you let scott be the one” to show how life really works.
no thx.
only 12 more editions of “valleylist” left before the end of the year.
yet again instead of a deal or a legal case it’s more filing charges against former law enforcement and trying to get the bad guys to walk away before anything worse happens. good news. more phone company ex-executives back in jail. that’s what we all got from the sf district attorney so far. they actually believe their heather fong “something ugly” prison belief system garbage. every day is a disaster. who cares. a madman is running the prison city into the ground for no reason. blame the drugs in the food. just like in jail.
filing charges and doing what the federal government tells me.
at least “valleylist” electronic publishing is online and now so is movies film and video.
