MUSIC FOR DOWNLOADS is dedicated to brian eno. innovative musician and artist. eno found fame with music for airports. totally changed the music industry. well known for electronic music and coming up with music too different to be believed. wikipeda says “brian eno’s professional music career began in london operating the mixing desk mixing desk processing the band’s sound with vcs3 synthesizer and tape recorders and singing backing vocals.”

first group. roxy music.

first hit single “virginia plain“.

brian eno [brian peter george st. john le baptiste de la salle eno] is the“valleylist” avatar this week. eno plays synthesizer and sings back up vocals. he’s best known as an innovative and successful avant guard music composer and producer. totally new music. and it attracted the attention of big name pop stars. the legendary falling out with roxy music opened the door to a solo career and then out-of-this-world collaborations.

most famous. the 3 concept albums with david bowie “berlin trilogy” started with low (though the album was actually recorded mainly in france and only mixed in west berlin). the experimental avant-garde style would be further explored on heroes and lodger.

odd coincidence. i was living in amsterdam around the time eno and bowie were hanging around in berlin. i was among the many stunned by the new music and anti-pop charts sound coming from the new bowie projects. iggy pop bowie’s new discovery was a normal punk rock extreme musician transformed into a memorable rock enigma with nightclubbing lust for life and china girl from the berlin era album “the idiot”.

lots of messages. excitement. a few lukewarm invitations to weekend away the heartache in berlin.

i got as far as iggy pop live in rotterdam.

top 10 downloaded songs of all time received the “valleylist” treatment withv170 “digital music”.

headlines and products mentioned in this edition of “valleylist”

now included in the youtube playlist with the favorite videos.

nuclear winter. the latest prognostication from the new left regarding the bush-era “gang” project. good luck getting anything done ever.

the “gang” was voted out. the rest of the story is up to the federal and state authorities.

contact the fcc’s getanchowski governor mike huckabee state senator leland yee reverend al sharpton prime minister benjamin netanyahu congressmannancy pelosi chairman craig fugate head of fema or attorney general eric holder for help.

it’s a “somebody stop me” from ruining your life kind of attitude. and it sucks. big time.

san francisco ended up a bizarre experiment in terror. official findings from the “market trial” wannabees. they want to keep me “in” and send me to the wrong people. that’s the sfpd and their “gang project” starring 99 year olds firoze doctor bill long bill widman bill wyman dave flores ted west and therron abbott. these people are total unknown idiots from the phone company. they thought he’d hit it big “take somebody’s place in life”. missing ingredient. the police department. those names are already on the phone company civil and criminal complaint legal case.

zealots from zion.

analysis. rock groups put the live music event business back on track. green day santana jimmy page and robert plant from led zepplin fame the red hot chilli peppers motley crew and the who among others.

roxy music live was a real experience. so good you want to “cry cry cry cry cry”. no matter what it sounded like live it was absolutely the greatest music around. the live concert left the audience yearning for the peculiar and nearly trancendent roxy music avant guard studio sound.

perhaps the most interesting rock group ever.

at least “valleylist” electronic publishing is online and now so is movies film and video.

conclusion. brian eno started with roxy music. the live tours were a sensation. their studio albums put them on top during the 80′s. [roxy music1972] [for your pleasure 1973] [stranded 1973] [country life 1974] [siren1975] [manifesto 1979] [flesh and blood 1980] [avalon 1982].

eno’s solo creative musical work outside of roxy music is too huge to detail here. suffice it to say eno has composed and performed music with some of the world’s greatest avant guard musicians including john cage laurie anderson david burn david bowie and king crimson’s robert fripp.

eno remains in demand as a producer coming up with the best and most appealing new sounds. just out of reach of most musicians.

i was lucky enough to personally attend a brian eno lecture. the subject was conceptual art and politics. it was as among the most hallucinatory elucidating experiences ever. no talking old pop music albums. lots of great theory.

later i purchased a souvenir. it’s a problem solving project based on conceptual art.

oblique strategies“.
